L4 HORSES & TRANSPORT RULES AND CONDITIONS

  • We WILL NOT tolerate bashing or negativity in this group! You will be blocked immediately.
     

  • We WILL BE honest and provide you with as much information as we have. If you don’t hear it in a video or see it in the description, we won’t have it. Please understand that we give you the information that is given to us, so if we are wrong on age, height or otherwise, it is not on purpose!
     

  • All horses will be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. If you set an appointment, we will not guarantee it will last until you get here! Horses will go to those first with payment in hand.
     

  • If you want us to put SOLD we will need money in hand first. We WILL NOT put sold until it is paid for.
     

  • We DO NOT offer refunds on horses, however, we will give you a 3 business day soundness guarantee. You need to notify us within the 3 days, the problem doesn’t need to be resolved within that three days. If you notify us of the problem on day four, we are not responsible for your issue. For example, if you purchase your horse on Saturday, you have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to notify us of the issue. A proof of vet examination may be required to determine the soundness issue. You will need to have your vet appointment set by day three of the guarantee. If you don’t at least get on your vet’s schedule by the end of day 3, we will not honor the guarantee. If your horse is deemed unsound we will trade it in for a horse of equal or lesser value. This guarantee does not include the following: You don't get along with the horse, the horse doesn't do what you want it to, it bucks, it jumps over fences, it moves when you try to put tack on it, it bites you, etc. Sound means healthy. If your horse has worms, not a soundness issue! Deworm it! We do the videos for a reason! If you just don't like the horse, we WILL NOT trade it for a new one! We don't know your background or how you ride, so none of those are guaranteed!
     

  • There are times we may do things on a case by case basis, so if any money is refunded for that case, this agreement becomes null and void and L4 owes you nothing beyond that refund.
     

  • Definition Of Soundness: Moving free of a limp or abnormality of gait on all four legs, pretty simple if you trot across the driveway and they limp seller will be taking the horse back; if they don’t then they belong to you…,Can see out of both eyes…Does not crib (suck wind), does not weave, and is not proud cut!
     

  • This guarantee also does not include the following: You don't get along with the horse, the horse doesn't do what you want it to, it bucks, it jumps over fences, it moves when you try to put tack on it, etc. Sound means healthy. We do the videos for a reason! If you just don't like the horse, we WILL NOT trade it for a new one! We don't know your background or how you ride, so none of those are guaranteed!
     

  • Your soundness guarantee starts on the purchase date! Not the day you pick it up or it is dropped off.
     

  • If your horse needs ANY type of vet treatment, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR VET BILL! This includes within the soundness guarantee.
     

  • The soundness guarantee value is ONLY the value of what you paid for the horse, nothing more.
     

  • We will not post prices of horses. You will need to PM us for that information.
     

  • Please be courteous and understand that we will respond to your messages as soon as we can. We do work full time jobs, run a farm and try to have some family time! We aren’t ignoring you, I PROMISE!
     

  • Payment options include Cash and electronic payments. Please ask which ones we have.
     

  • We do not allow horses to be “test driven” due to liability purposes. This is why we post videos so you can see what you are getting.
     

  • Delivery can be arranged for an extra fee. In a case where a horse is deemed not sound and you need it picked back up, a fee will also be charged for pick up. Minimum of $25, even if you are 10 minutes away.
     

  • We DO NOT do vet checks on the horses. The information we have, is the information we have. Remember, if we don’t say it has been vet checked or had Coggins pulled WE DON’T KNOW!! Please don’t ask if you don’t hear it or read it. If you want a PPE, the responsibility is on you. You need to schedule it and pay for it. We use Tri County Vet Clinic in Maysville. If you need us to transport the horse to this facility for a vet check, there will be a $100 fee. (This covers our gas and time). It takes us a minimum of 3 our time for the vet check alone.
     

  • DEPOSITS: $250 NON-REFUNDABLE – if horse is not paid in full within 72 hours of deposit, the horse will be relisted. Please see full details of deposit policy in our FB group.

  • Please do not post your personal items or horses for sale in the group. Sales are for L4 horses and tack only. The only way you will be able to sell an item is if we agree to consignment.

  • Everyone that purchases a horse will be provided with a bill of sale and will be required to sign the purchase agreement.
     

  • Please remember that you have a CHOICE on whether or not to buy a horse from us. We will never push someone into a sale. Once we receive your payment, that horse is now YOUR responsibility! We make it very clear how we work and give you all of the information we have. We will NEVER sell a sick horse intentionally! If it has shipping fever or a runny nose, the horse will still be listed. These things happen! We treat our sale horses just as well as our personal horses, so if you have a problem with how we work, maybe this isn't the group for you!
     

  • We try to be as accommodating as possible, but moving forward it will be as transactional as possible. You want to see the horse that's fine. You see it, you buy it, you’re on your merry way. Don't come back at us with more requests once you purchase it. (The only thing we will accommodate is if the horse is not sound). We hate to be this way, but the nicer we seem to be, the more people want to treat us like doormats.
     

  • Once you purchase a horse, we will allow the horse to stay on our property for 3 days with no charge. This is NOT 3 business days. After that you are responsible for a $15/day fee. Even though the horse is on our property, it is YOUR responsibility. If we get a hold of you with an issue, you will be responsible for all decisions, all costs to treat and take care of your horse. We are just the boarding facility once full payment is made on the horse. Any trips you need us to take the horse to the vet for will incur a fee.
     

  • Last, but not least, we want to thank everyone that chooses us to help you find your perfect match!
